What happens at the end of your lease?
Within the final six months of your lease, a member of our team will reach out to discuss your options. You'll have the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
Returning your vehicle
Our collection company will contact you to confirm arrangements to inspect and collect the vehicle. Here's what to keep in mind to make the process as smooth as possible:
Disconnect the vehicle from any online applications and delete all personal data. We recommend removing personal contacts, navigation history and any saved payment details from the vehicles system. Please ensure all in car connectivity has all of your personal details deleted. It's important to be aware that we are not responsible for any data you have put into the vehicles operating system.
You will be asked to sign a formal report confirming the vehicle condition at the point of collection. Your vehicle will be assessed against the BVRLA fair wear and tear guide which you can find below. Any damage or missing items that fall outside of these guidelines will be chargeable.
Your mileage will also be reviewed against your contractual mileage limit. If you have exceeded this, an excess mileage charge will be applied at the rate specified in your agreement (cost per mile).
Please ensure all original documentation is available with the vehicle at the time of collection, including:
- vehicle handbook
- all keys, including the master and spare keys
- satellite navigation memory card or disc (where applicable)
- electric charging cables if originally supplied with the vehicle
