Our Internship Program
Our six-month internship is conveniently aligned with your final year at university, starting on the 10th of February 2025. At the end of your experience, you will receive detailed feedback on your performance, which you will be able to use for your further development. We understand that flexibility is important and allow our interns to work between three to five days a week, on the days of their choice. On completion of the internship, you may be offered an opportunity to work at SG Fleet full-time.

Time: 8:30am-12pm
IT
You will support a range of initiatives including assisting end users with day to day requests; onboard / offboard users including laptop, mobile build and configuration; software engineering; investigate issues, reproducing and documenting defects; work with business users to design and build analytical reports and analysing data to reveal insights and trends.
Finance
- Credit: You will partner and interact with the SGF Sales and Credit Team to ensure that all credit applications and tasks are decisioned within SG Fleet’s Credit policy; assist Corporate Credit team assess applications within SG Fleet Credit Policy and Delegated Credit Authority limits; ensure compliance and consistent application of policies, procedures, and legislation and provide day-to-day support to the Credit Risk Manager and to the Head of Credit on an ad-hoc basis.
- Treasury Operations: You will process 24 hrs Urgent Funding requests and payments, payee control requests and authorise Banking details as well as completing registrations and discharges as required.
- Finance / Accountant: You will be responsible for reconciliation of debtors and creditors accounts, attend to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts; reconciliation of general ledger accounts and Bank Accounts; assist accountant with daily and month end processing, reconciliation and reporting, as required; processing payments (Maintenance, Dealer, Rego, Driver, Overheads) and allocating funds; processing of bank receipts, client invoices, supplier invoices and coding the issuing of payments in settlement of supplier invoices; miscellaneous reporting, financial projects including internal and external Audits; trend analysis and assist finance team to achieve the team deadlines on the reporting requirement from internal/external stakeholders
Special Projects (Business operations)
You will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, providing assistance with coordinating workshops, analysing data, reporting KPIs, and reviewing existing processes to identify potential efficiency enhancements via process updates and system automation.
Digital
You will participate in the Voice of Customer program through data collection and analysis; help with preparation of digital marketing campaigns and creation of website pages and coordination with stakeholders.
Legal
You will provide support to the Legal team, including: reviewing and summarising changes to legislation/regulatory updates, filing executed contracts, conducting initial reviews of simple contracts, and identifying key clauses and updating registers (e.g. contracts, IP, and property lease registers).
