eManage

Easy access to charging to keep your EVs moving.

Access to charging infrastructure

Essential access to charging networks to give your drivers the options they need to keep your electric vehicles moving, and to have consolidated, accountable reporting and cost controls.

How it works

Just like providing fuel cards for drivers of petrol and diesel cars, eManage will provide the service that drivers of electric cars need to keep moving, while providing fleet managers with essential oversight.

In partnership with top tier charging providers, eManage will help with access to various charging networks, and consolidate the costs and reporting for better vehicle management. Your fleet EV drivers may charge at your owned charging stations and sometimes public charging stations while on the move.

Drivers will be issued with RFID ‘fuel card’ card(s) associated to their vehicle and used to access the charging station network such as ChargeFox.

The supplier’s charge data is integrated into Fleetintelligence to give fleet administrator’s visibility over charger and vehicle activity so they can review operational insights such as:

  • Number of EV fuel cards in use
  • Charger utilisation
  • Cost of electricity as part of fuel costs
  • EV fuel information such as cost and kWh (akin to litres of traditional fuels).

Benefits

1
Fleet administrators need to know the electricity cost and EV fuel use of each EV whether they are charged at work or on-the-move, while having visibility over the cost, capacity and utilisation of your owned chargers.
2
For administrative ease, any EV refuelling charges, including access to and use of chargers at public charging stations that we have partnered with, are conveniently included in your usual consolidated invoice.

FAQs

SG Fleet will support customers as they consider their EV charging requirements.

Charging stations range in output speed; however the cost will generally increase alongside the output. A 7kwh charger will be cheaper than a 50 kWh charger. Faster isn't always the most cost-effective and SG Fleet can advise on suitable charging stations that support your fleet needs, such as number of EVs, usage patterns and other factors.

It's important to consider the broader "Charging Strategy" that will incorporate a mix of different charging stations and locations best suited to your EV Fleet needs.

Yes, we recommend that dedicated charging stations are installed by a qualified electrician for use at home to ensure that appropriate electrical checks are performed to reduce the risk of issues. The technology for home charging is ever-changing, and we are keeping an eye on new solutions such as Intelligent Power Sockets (IPS) with temperature sensors and other safety features. We'll update our advice as solutions mature in this space.

SG Fleet has integrated with leading EV charging networks to ensure electricity data flows into our online portal, Fleetintelligence. Just like internal combustion (ICE) fleets, fleet managers will be able to monitor the in-life costs of running an EV fleet.

The highest cost component of EV charging stations is often their installation. Electric service upgrades, trenching, repaving, distance to panels, distribution boards and other factors can significantly impact installation costs. Good planning, supplying only the essentials, and keeping in mind potential future expansion will reduce your short and long-term installation costs. SG Fleet can help you understand your short and medium-term needs and avoid over-capitalization of infrastructure.
