Proudly supporting Wildbark

Helping more people connect with conservation, community and the outdoors.

Turning the tide on extinction

For over a decade, SG Fleet has proudly supported Wildbark and the vital conservation work taking place at the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary in Canberra.

Through vehicle support, we’re helping Wildbark continue the important work happening across the sanctuary.

Meet Wildbark

A place with purpose

Just outside the city sits 1,200 hectares of protected woodland – one of Australia’s most unique conservation spaces where native wildlife, education and community come together.

Wildbark is the gateway to Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, where visitors can experience nature up close and learn about conservation.

And while the setting feels a world away, it’s right on Canberra’s doorstep.

Turning back the clock on extinction

Wildbark’s mission is to protect what remains, restore what has been lost and help native species thrive once again.

It is meaningful, hands-on work that we’re proud to be part of.

1,200 hectares. One mission.

Helping Wildbark reach every corner of the sanctuary.

For more than 10 years, SG Fleet has provided Wildbark with a fleet of vehicles designed for the work at hand, including four-wheel drives and a community bus that help the team safely access the sanctuary and bring more people along for the journey.

As Dean Maxworthy, Researcher at Wildbark shares: “These vehicles have transformed our programs from what is. If you can't reach it, you can't teach it. And so, it's SG Fleet who have been able to unlock the possibilities of what we can do.”

The sanctuary spans rugged terrain, bush trucks and areas that simply aren’t easy to access so reliable transport is essential. The four-wheel drives help staff and volunteers navigate bush tracks, support conservation work, move between habitats and monitor native species across the sanctuary.

The community bus plays a different, but equally important role.

For many visitors, exploring Mulligans Flat on foot or by bike simply isn’t an option. The bus helps open the sanctuary to older visitors, people with limited mobility, school groups and community members who may otherwise never experience this part of the landscape.

More than transport, it helps create moments of connection with nature, memories and places that remind us of the importance of protecting what remains.

The people behind the experience

Creating moments that stay with people

Wildbark is powered by passionate staff, volunteers and researchers who bring the sanctuary experience to life.

From helping monitor wildlife and support conservation programs to welcoming visitors and sharing knowledge, their work creates meaningful moments that say with people long after they leave.

And for many visitors, it’s not just about seeing the sanctuary, it’s about reconnecting with memories, spending time outdoors and experiencing parts of the bush they may not have thought possible to access again.

Conservation, connection and community

At its heart, Wildbark is about creating connection, between people, place and purpose.

Through education, conversation and community experiences, they’re helping more people understand the importance of protecting Australia’s native environment and the role we all play in preserving it.

We’re proud to support that mission.
