Scheduled servicing reminders
We estimate your next service using the best data we have available at the time. This includes your most recent odometer reading and a predicted rate of travel.
Using this information, we calculate when your vehicle is likely to reach its next service interval and send you a reminder ahead of time, so you have plenty of notice to book in.
Your reminder is based on whichever comes first—kilometres travelled or time since the last service—following the manufacturer’s recommended schedule.
Our service reminder is estimated using a combination of:
- The most recent odometer reading we have on file
- Your vehicle’s service history
- The rate of travel over time
Odometer readings may come from several sources, including fuel transactions, service records, or other information provided to us during the life of the vehicle.
Most vehicle manufacturers require servicing based on time or distance travelled – whichever occurs first. Our system uses your most recent odometer reading, your predicted rate of travel, and the manufacturers service intervals to estimate when you are likely to reach either threshold.
If you’re predicted to reach the kilometre threshold first, your reminder will be based on distance.
If you’re predicted to reach the time interval threshold first, your reminder will be based on the date.
This helps us send reminders that reflect how your vehicle is actually being used.
If the service date or kilometres in your email doesn’t seem right, or your vehicle has already been serviced:
- Simply reply to the email and let us know
- If possible, attach a photo of the service sticker
- Our team will check the details and update our records if needed
Vehicle servicing schedules are recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Most manufacturers require vehicles to be serviced after a certain amount of time or distance travelled — whichever comes first. This helps keep the vehicle running safely and supports warranty requirements where applicable. We use these manufacturer guidelines, along with available vehicle data, to estimate when your next service is due and send you a reminder.
We send service reminders at set times to give you enough notice to book your vehicle in. Typically, you can expect:
- A first reminder around 30 days before the estimated service due date
- A second reminder around 15 days before the estimated service due date
- An overdue reminder if the vehicle has not been serviced, sent one day after the due date
To help manage costs for you organisation and keep our records accurate, please book your service with an approved service provider. If your vehicle is still under warranty, please book in with a franchise dealer to maintain warranty coverage. You can use our service locator tool to find an approved provider.
No. As long as you book with an approved service provider, we will manage any work approvals and payment.
